After we set sail, we soon landed on the island of Cicones. During our raid of the island, we pilaged and murdered most of the Ciconian army. And, of course, we had to lose another 72 men from our crew. After leaving our troubles behind, we managed to get ourselves trapped upon another island, the land of the Cyclopes. There we spent most of our time, like usual, drinking alcoholic beverages and feasting on wild goats. On the third day of our embankment, we had decided to discover whether the island's enhabitants were friend to us or, rather, quite the opposite. We soon discovered that they were a great, dangerous enemy to us. A Cyclops named Polyphemus, leader of Cyclopes and son of Poseidon, rejected our welcoming spirit and chowed down on two of our men. Odysseus had a spark of intelligence and fed Polyphemus a strong bit of booze that even we could not resist. Then, to continue his streak of greatness (if only for a moment), Odysseus stabbed the evil Cyclops man with a red hot spear derived from a tree. After blinding the giant creeper we hid underneath his sheep and, in the morning when he released them into his vast fields, we rode to safety. As we were escaping, Odysseus and his big mouth decided he was going to bellow his true identity to the Cyclops. Fearing the wrath of the gods, our ship quickly left port off the island.

After the lenghty, exhausting Trojan War, we headed for home. During the journey, after much partying and drinking,
Odysseus, along with the rest of our crew, were so trashed, we got stuck on an island. Little did our clouded minds know, we had put outselves in the very grasp of Calypso, goddess of enchantment. For the next seven years, though none of us could complain, we were prisoners of the powerful goddess, where we spent our days in fear that we might never return to Ithica. However, with the help from the mighty goddess of war and wisdom, Athena, seen right ->, we persueded Calypso to release us from her god-forsaken island. Afterward, she helped us to build a raft that began the long journey home. Though the raft was destroyed, we were washed up on the land of the Phaecians where Alcinous welcomed us with open arms and open wine caskets.
